The book that I have been reading is called Bird Box and at the time of writing this, I have finished the book. The book was very suspenseful and mysterious at times. Overall, it’s a pretty good book and I hope the movie is just as good. The aspects that I appreciate in the writing style is suspense that the author made in certain scenes. For example, when Malorie and her children were on the boat, they had to listen to what danger was around them since they were blindfolded. Another aspect that I appreciated was the flashbacks. Although they were annoying, it gives information on how Malorie got to the point where she’s at now. One challenge that I had reading the book was towards the end. The ending kind of left off on a cliff hanger for me, because I would like to know how Malorie and her children adjust to their new life. A quote from the book the tie into this ending is “In a world where you can’t open your eyes, isn’t a blindfold all you could ever hope for?”
