My history as a reader is mainly academics, being assigned books or books that I picked to read for a class assignment, outside of that field, I have read a significant amount of books in the mystery and thriller genre, an example would be works by Ted Dekker, being revolved around horror, thriller, and unusual sightings, otherwise known as the “supernatural”
I have had no challenges with reading, however, I do find odd endings that are abrupt, with not much indication as to what happened next.
I picked “Gone Girl” by Gillian Flynn, I picked it because it was suspenseful, with a interesting and unique setting that makes the theme more intriguing, and a protagonist that is hiding something very crucial to the investigation of a missing individual, which could take the story in many different ways and leave a great impact on those who read it, helping with deduction and reasoning.
