When I was younger I used to dislike reading because it was like a requirement from my parents and teachers. However, as I got older and reading wasn’t as pushed on me anymore I began to explore it on my own. I first started out with crime and mystery books because I already had an interest for crime documentaries and things related to that. Then I got into romance and fantasy. Now I read a lot more and I mostly enjoy thriller books. I’m not a fan of books that write with a lot of metaphors because although I like books with meaning, I don’t like feeling confused. Reading is fun but I’m in my head a lot so sometimes I space out while reading and I’ll have to reread a sentence over and over again. I’ve had this issue with the book I chose, The Silver Eyes by Kira Breed-Wrisely and Scott Cawthon. I chose this book because I’m a fan of the FNAF franchise which makes me sound like such a nerd but I’ve liked the games for a while now. It’s also a horror/thriller book which I also enjoy. Overall, I do really love reading when it’s not a task to understand the actual story.
